One of the great Nantucket Lightship Baskets - a double handled swing covered basket circa 1875. A very rare design - the cover sits on the rim and held in place with a loose ring. The basket is from our personal collection, bought 30 years ago and never offered before. This one has a great "personality". Exhibited and pictured in several books. Very good condition with some nicks here and there. Size: 10 inches widest. Sorry, SOLD into great collection
